Which Ablerex UPS products protect against power and lightning surges?
Most of the Ablerex low rating UPS systems are designed and recommended as secondary surge protection devices. Please consult with the Ablerex representative to assist you in selecting the best product for your application.
What should I do if my UPS stops working?
These are a few quick checks:
Has there been an extended power failure?
If the answer is yes, when the power returns, the UPS will recharge and operate normally.
How long has the UPS been in use? It may need to have the batteries replaced.
Please call your local distributor for information and assistance on your Ablerex UPS.
Why Does the UPS only operate on battery mode?
There could be more than one possibility.
Is there power to the UPS?
Is there a tripped circuit breaker protecting the receptacle where the UPS is plugged?
Is the Input plug secure and seated fully in the wall receptacle as well as to the UPS?
Check the Input fuse on the rear of the UPS. Replace the fuse if it is blown.
If none of the above corrects your problem, contact your local distributor for assistance.
Why does the UPS shut down during a black out?
The UPS will only provide a certain amount of back up during a black out. If the UPS is 3 years old or more, the batteries may need to be replaced. Please contact your local distributor for assistance.
How can I receive additional copies of the software?
Visit the Ablerex web site and download the latest version of the monitoring software. Additional USB cable or RS232 cables are available through your distributor.
